About The Role:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join the team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications or extensive experience working within the stone benchtop sector, the position involves machine operating of both Bridgesaws and waterjet in the factory. With a 4 day work week, we think it’s an awesome offer.
Schedule: Mon – Thurs, 6:30 AM – 4:30PM
CNC Bridge Saw / Waterjet Operator Key Duties:
- Set up & operate CNC bridge saw & Waterjet machines according to benchtop specifications, ensuring alignment and calibration for optimal performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints accurately to determine machining requirements and specifications.
- Operate machines proficiently to fabricate benchtop parts with precision and accuracy, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process.
- Monitor machine operations closely, making necessary adjustments
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring strict compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and thorough cleaning of machines to uphold their optimal performance and longevity.
- General factory duties
- Working in a team and also independently
Essential
- A stonemasonry trade qualification or proven experience within the stone industry
- At least 2 years of experience operating CNC bridge saws or Waterjet machines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read plans and measurements
- A passion for stone craftsmanship
- Current working rights in Australia
