LOCATION: Oberon, NSW
SHIFT SCHEDULE:
05:30 – 15:30 PM & 16:30 – 02:30 weekly four shift rotation, opportunity for an OT shift on Friday
WOOD MACHINIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining saws, knives, sawmill machines, tools, and sawing performance performance to a high standard
- Working with the teams to complete alignments, services and monitoring sawing machines across the sites.
- Be trained and assist in running CPI based service routines.
- Be multi skilled across all hands-on Wood Machinist/Saw Technician tasks or similar.
- Work closely within the Saw Technicians Team to perform routine service work and preventative maintenance to ensure our saws and processes.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the workshop area.
- Maintain equipment and preventive maintenance programmes
- Respond to all safety requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualification with a minimum of Cert III in a saw doctoring preferred.
- Experience with high strain bandsaws would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience with an efficient machine set up, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- A desire to continue to learn and grow.
- Good time management skills, being able to prioritise tasks.
- Commitment and hard-working attitude
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
REMUNERATION:

$30 – $34 p/h plus Super, OT & Penalties
