Schedule: Mon – Fri, optional Saturdays.
Stonemason Leading Hand Key Duties:
- Fabrication of stone benchtops for residential and commercial projects using natural stone, porcelain, Dekton and Zero silica surfaces
- Cutting, shaping & polishing stone using various machines including a waterjet and CNCs (training given if required) and hand tools
- Overseeing team members and supporting them in the production process
- Check measuring and templating of jobs as required
- Involvement in all aspects of the fabrication process including glueing, polishing and laminating
- Liaise with customers when required
- Packing stone & slabs onto A frames in preparation for delivery
- Follow OH&S directions and maintain a safe working environment
Stonemason Leading Hand Essentials:
- A stonemasonry trade qualification or proven experience within the industry
- Strong understanding of the fabrication process
- Experience with installation of benchtops on commercial & residential sites
- Highly Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and drawings
- Full working Rights
- Driving licence & White Card
- Strong attention to detail
