Role:
- Reporting to the Production and Workshop Supervisor, you will be employed to work with a production team consisting of CNC Machinists, Fitters and Metal Fabricators
Metal Fabricator Key Duties:
As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
- Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications
- Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
- Marking cutting lines on material
- Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in
- Ensuring that quality control standards are met
- Maintaining a production schedule
- Testing products for their functionality
- Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimise problems or recalls
- Reporting and detailing product malfunctions
- Adhering to assembly safety standards
Essentials:
- Cert 3 or equivalent trade qualification in Metal Fabrication
- Experienced in TIG/MIG/MMA (Stick) Welding
- Experienced in boiler making and sheet metal work with steel, stainless, aluminium and
- Other alloys
- Experience in the light industry
- Excellent quality and safety standards
Preferred:
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute across the business as a team player
- Organisational skills and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing principles
- Forklift Licence
Remuneration:
-
$65,000 – $75,000 + Super
