LOCATION: Gosford, NSW
SHIFT SCHEDULE: Mondays to Fridays morning and evening shifts with optional overtime
MECHANICAL FITTER MAIN DUTIES:
- Assembly and disassembly of all new and previously used underground mining materials handling equipment, particularly focusing on locking assemblies, bearings, seals, housings, and couplings associated with conveyor pulleys, along with all related work functions.
- Maintenance and upkeep of onsite fixed and mobile plant machinery, which involves completing the necessary paperwork for maintenance schedule reports concerning the inspected/repaired equipment.
- All work should adhere to the relevant Australian Standards and align with the internal Quality Systems in place.
- You will also be accountable for maintaining a clean and organised work environment in both your designated area and the general workshop, adhering to safety Standards.
- A part of the role is also to aid in the training of apprentices by demonstrating the correct work procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mechanical Fitter trades certificate or other similar qualifications.
- Proficient in understanding computerised drawings.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Forklift licence is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Dependable, punctual and a collaborative team member
MECHANICAL FITTER REMUNERATION:

$38 – $45 per hour plus Super and Over Time
