About Our Client:

Our client is one of the largest suppliers of engineering, automotive, woodworking and workshop equipment, they have been supporting the Australian and New Zealand markets for over 90 years. With over 180 employees and supply branches in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, New Zealand, they provide unparalleled services to the general public, business industry and government.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM – 04:30 PM

Imports Clerk Key Duties:
 
  • Liaising with our Buyers, creating PO plans, and raising orders as directed to our overseas suppliers.
  • Generating monthly delivery schedules to confirm that delivery dates match with overseas suppliers’ and updating purchase orders as necessary.
  • Cross-referencing shipping or importing documentation with orders and liaising with suppliers.
  • Creating the shipment in our system and preparing payments for our suppliers.
  • Preparing packing list for warehouse and receipting stock into our system.
  • Cross-checking contract prices and identifying any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain inventory pricing and the filing system.
Imports Clerk Essential:

  • Show a high attention to detail and be able to handle conflicting priorities and pressure.
  • You’ll ideally have a minimum 6 months importing experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus solid computing skills, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel & Office (MS Office).
  • A strong work ethic and team spirit along as well as report building skills.
  • Previous Pronto experience would be highly regarded
  •  
Preferred:

  • Involved in the end-to-end administration of importing/shipping stock from overseas to make sure that the flow of stock from suppliers is timely and efficient.
  • You’ll develop and maintain effective relationships with our many suppliers worldwide, ensuring competitive pricing and exceptional delivery performance.
  • Your main points of contact will be suppliers, customs brokers, shipping lines & transport providers, plus you’ll liaise with production, warehouse & administration staff.
Remuneration:
  • $60,000 – $70,000 plus Super & Overtime
