About The Role:
In this pivotal position, you will lead and provide direction to a team encompassing factory staff, machine operators and additional personnel. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the timely and accurate completion of work assignments, assisting and supervising staff, and developing systems that enhance consistency, efficiency and quality across operations.
Schedule: Mon – Fri
Factory Manager Key Duties:
- Provide direction and leadership to Factory Team, Machine operators & other staff
- Assist, supervise and support staff in timely and accurate completion of work assignments
- Develop and implement systems and processes that drive consistency, efficiency and quality
- Oversee maintenance of equipment
- Monitor inventory and ensure availability and efficiencies of stock control
- Ensure effective skills and training programs are met and implemented
- Manage and oversee Occupational Health & Safety compliance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of Factory
Essential:
- Previous experience working as a Factory Manager
- Experience working in the Stone industry is a must
- Strong leadership and training abilities and be able to build and manage effective teams.
- Decision-making skills are important and the candidate should be able to manage people effectively.
- Have a strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), manufacturing, quality, productivity, inventory, and factory processes.
- Be highly organised and have the ability to coordinate Factory workflows to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Forklift licence preferable
