About Our Client:

Our client is a cross-generational, privately-owned company dedicated to supporting the Australian Defence Force and its allies. It has a strong commitment to R&D, utilising high-end design, simulation and analysis software packages. For almost 40 years they have manufactured world-class military equipment. Known for their innovative designs, this company has continued to expand its product range and reach internationally.

Draftsperson Key Duties:

• Reporting to the Director of Engineering
• Produce CAD models and manufacturing drawings of product components and assemblies
• Utilising a detailed understanding of drafting and manufacturing processes
• Generate concepts and work alongside the Engineers to turn them into reality
• Support sales quotes for work and manage the delivery of that work supporting production through the maintenance of manufacturing drawings and implementation of approved changes

Essential

• Hold tertiary qualifications in engineering drafting or equivalent draftsperson qualifications
• Have previous experience in a similar role
• Skilled Autodesk Inventor user
• Have an understanding of manufacturing principles and constraints
• Great communication and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel (MS Office)

Requisite:

• Ability to be present at our Port Macquarie facility Monday-Friday
• Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Clearance would be beneficial 
• Must have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening (Applicants MUST have the right to live and work in Australia)

Remuneration:

• $75,000 – $80,000 + Super
