CNC Plasma Operator Key Duties:
- Performing machining operations on metal workpieces based on mechanical designs
- Programming, setting and operating machine tools
- Loading and unloading workpieces
- Ensuring products meet production specifications
- Carrying out maintenance of machine tools
- Providing apprentices and junior metal workers with training and support in the use of machine tools
- Other tasks assigned relative to the role
Essential:
- Previous Experience with CNC Plasma
- Certificates are preferable but not essential if candidate has good previous experience
- Some Experience in Metalworking
Preferred:
- Experience operating a 5 Axis “Robot arm” CNC for at least 2 years
- Previous experience as CNC machinist with 5-Axis CNC for at least 2 years
- Certificates in CNC Programming/Engineering setup are heavily preferable
- Some Experience in Metalworking
Remuneration:
$70,000 – $80,000 + Super + Overtime
