Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday

CNC Joinery Operator Main Duties:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain a range of woodworking machinery including panel saws, spindle moulders, thicknessers, planers, edgebanders, and routers
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, cut lists, and job specifications accurately
  • Select appropriate timber and sheet materials based on job requirements
  • Mark out, cut, shape, and dress timber components to precise dimensions
  • Perform tool changes, blade sharpening, and routine machine maintenance
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure components meet specifications
  • Identify and report machine faults or maintenance needs to the supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in line with WHS standards
  • Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading using safe manual handling techniques
  • Work collaboratively with cabinet makers, joiners, and other production staff to meet project deadlines
  • Mentor and support apprentices or junior team members when required
CNC Joinery Operator Essentials:

  • Proven experience as a Wood Machinist in a joinery, cabinet making, or timber manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut lists
  • Sound knowledge of timber species, sheet materials, and machining techniques
  • Trade qualification in Cabinet Making, Joinery, or Wood Machining (Certificate III) preferred
  • Solid understanding of WHS practices in a workshop environment
  • High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Australian work rights
