Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday
CNC Joinery Operator Main Duties :
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery (routers, beam saws, edgebanders, and nesting machines) to produce joinery components to specification
- Read and interpret technical drawings, cut lists, and shop drawings accurately
- Program and edit CNC machine settings using software such as AlphaCam, Cabinet Vision, or similar nesting/CAM software
- Load and unload sheet materials (MDF, melamine, ply, laminate) safely and efficiently
- Perform tool changes, machine calibrations, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct quality checks on finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Identify and troubleshoot machine faults, escalating issues to the supervisor when needed
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with WHS standards
- Manage stock of consumables (router bits, drill bits, edge tape) and notify the team of low stock
- Collaborate with cabinet makers, installers, and the production manager to meet project deadlines
- Mentor and assist apprentices or junior team members where required
CNC Joinery Operator Essentials:
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a joinery, cabinet making, or kitchen manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and cut lists
- Working knowledge of CAM/nesting software (AlphaCam, Cabinet Vision, EzyNest, or similar)
- Solid understanding of joinery materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes
- Trade qualification in Cabinet Making / Joinery (Certificate III) preferred but not essential for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a quality-focused mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Australian work rights
PREFERRED:
- Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence (desirable but not required)
- White card
