Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday

CNC Joinery Operator Main Duties :

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery (routers, beam saws, edgebanders, and nesting machines) to produce joinery components to specification
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, cut lists, and shop drawings accurately
  • Program and edit CNC machine settings using software such as AlphaCam, Cabinet Vision, or similar nesting/CAM software
  • Load and unload sheet materials (MDF, melamine, ply, laminate) safely and efficiently
  • Perform tool changes, machine calibrations, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct quality checks on finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine faults, escalating issues to the supervisor when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with WHS standards
  • Manage stock of consumables (router bits, drill bits, edge tape) and notify the team of low stock
  • Collaborate with cabinet makers, installers, and the production manager to meet project deadlines
  • Mentor and assist apprentices or junior team members where required
CNC Joinery Operator Essentials:

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a joinery, cabinet making, or kitchen manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and cut lists
  • Working knowledge of CAM/nesting software (AlphaCam, Cabinet Vision, EzyNest, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of joinery materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes
  • Trade qualification in Cabinet Making / Joinery (Certificate III) preferred but not essential for the right candidate
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a quality-focused mindset
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Australian work rights
PREFERRED:

  • Drivers Licence
  • Forklift Licence (desirable but not required)
  • White card
