The Role:

Offering a chance to become a Vehicle Builder Apprentice at the Yennora location. In this position, you will receive guidance and support from experienced Vehicle Builders, allowing you to learn all aspects of the trade on the job. Additionally, you will earn your Certificate III qualification by completing TAFE training.

Schedule:  4 day work week  ( Mon – Thur 6AM – 4PM)

Apprentice Vehicle Builder Key Duties:

  • Responsible for constructing a variety of emergency and specialised vehicles, including truck builds and unique mobile medical vehicles, using a range of materials.
  • Capable of reading and understanding technical drawings, as well as following instructions and work procedures.
  • Assemble vehicles and perform repairs as needed.
  • Skilled in MIG and TIG welding of steel and aluminium
Essential:

  • Must have finished Year 12 recently or completed it within the past 1-2 years (applicants who are in their 1st or 2nd year of an apprenticeship will also be considered).
  • Interested in finishing a 4-year apprenticeship.
  • Willing and able to travel to TAFE on a regular basis.
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated to succeed in both work and studies.
  • Exhibit high-quality work and attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, such as lifting, bending, and twisting.
